FindToto.com hard at work
Submitted by The Cat/Dog Log Blog
Last summer, I wrote about a service called FindToto.com that can help find a lost pet.
Yesterday afternoon, we received an automated phone message from Find Toto that a pet was missing in our area. According to the message, London, a black Great Dane mix, was reported missing in our city by her owner. The message gave the owner’s phone number, and also referred us to their site for more information, including a picture of the missing dog.
FindToto.com’s home page gives you suggestions on what steps to take if your dog is missing, as well as allows you to sign up for an alert to go out within 1 hour to all your neighbors. When you think about it, time is critical with a missing pet especially in bad weather like we were having this weekend. The great thing about this service is that you don’t have to sign up ahead of time; if you find yourself in need of their service, you simply fill out an alert request, decide how many calls you’d like them to make, and the alert is issued. My call yesterday proves it works at getting the word out, and we all know the more eyes that are searching, the better chances a pet will be found and returned home safely.
